You want to 100% make absolutely positively sure that the payment is in their hands by the due date.
Congrats on a great card!
My Platinum I got in April showed up on my reports within the month.
I'd think if you didn't pay by the due date you'd risk unpaid balances showing up on your next statement. I think your gaming with a few days' window. Is it worth it?
@Anonymous wrote:Thanks man yeah so glad I asked. Do you pay it in full by the due date then every month? Not sure wether to pay in full by due date or closing date with AMEX, first closing date on my card is June 11 and first payment due isn't till July 6
You have from the closing date to the due date to pay. I always shoot to pay the day after closing date, at least gives me a buffer. And always have autopay set up for at least the minimum in case one slips through the cracks.

It isn't. Not only will a late payment trigger the penalty APR for at least 6 months (for some cards it's 12) odds of getting any kind of CLI out of them are diminished for at least a year.
I'm definitely paying it by the due date not risking it at all.

I think the OP was referring to paying it before the statement even cut. Not waiting until after the due date and until the next one cut.
Yea I paid off all my cards and mine dropped 8,12, and 16 points across the bureaus. I knew it could happen, but stilled shocked.
