I personally love my Amex cards (I have 4 but will eventually just have 2). I find I use my BCP and PRG constantly, well over my Discover, Visa, and MC. I think it all depends upon what you want it for and if it will actually be useful for you. Also, is the AF on some of their cards worth it to you? Have you tried the pre-qual? I've heard of some people pre 5 year BK discharge getting their cards, but not often...but then again if you don't mind the HP it doesn't hurt to try and recon if denied!
