I just hope this 3% stays around they can put a 10k cap on it a month and that would make me happy to ensure the 3% is here to stay!
If anyone ever loves me like you love this card, I'll make them sammiches, bring beer, and change channels for life.
Laundry probably too, but dont want to sound too needy
dang even laundry.... Talking folding and hanging as well?
.
Might even buy iron and ironing board.

Maybe you should save that for later. You don't want to seem too desperate right off the bat.

I don't usually give relationship advice for free, but in this case:
Avoid having a relationship with people on CC forums. You know, your big romantic anniversary is tonight, you are ready to go out but your partner is staring at the computer. So you helpfully remind them "We should go now." but partner replies, "Oh, maybe you should go on your own. Bank X is going to launch this new card soon and I want to read all about the details"
Of course, you might also view this as perfectly acceptable (well, except you are certainly not going to go out when there is this new card launching!) in which case go ahead.

I will never be as lucky as to find someone with similar credit and financial outlooks, and hobbies as I have.
I'd far rather have a partner who is spending money on a myFICO subscription than literally hundreds if not thousands of other things that I could think of.
I'd be down for myFICO and chill, just sayin'.

I must say I never understood this outlook. People want to know about the product from a public forum, but are upset when the product gets posted on another public forum so that others can take advantage of it. Kind of a catch 22. If the information were not readily available, nobody would have ever known about the card. Obviously now it is becoming more popular and is likely membership/approvals will be clamped down on, as I am sure they got far more than they intended to. All you can hope is existing users will not be hurt by any potential changes.
In any case DoC's article did not mention that you could simply join a random organization to become eligible, and stated it was for select employees in Alabama only (and for all we know, they're enforcing that now).
Whether it's Doc, here, flyertalk, or reddit's various credit card channels, the same information tends to get circulated because there is a lot of user overlap.

The issue is that the more people that know about this card, the more chances people out to abuse the card will get the card. This would increase the chances of the benefits being nerfed on the card.
The good news is that the credit union has solid financial performance. I just looked up their financials for the past five years and they are solidly run. This gives me hope the card will be here to stay - even if they make it harder for new people to sign up from other states. Since I work for credit unions in my state, I might shift some of my future products/lending needs to them as I like to keep that stuff away from prying eyes... ![]()

Right, but I guess my point is that I'm not sure why some people feel they "deserve" to know about it more than others. The more people have the card, yes, the more potential for abuse will grow, and the more costly it is for the issuer in terms of rewards even on non-abusive spending.

I dont see anything about feeling more "deserving" of the card, I only see fear that more people become aware, less likely benefits are to remain.
That doesnt even require mentions on different forums or websites, MyFico has "broken" a lender or two on it's own.
Is that going to happen...my $500.00 Visa gift card says yes
(Nope, I don't have this card).

She put it correctly.
I don't feel more deserving but as it makes it way to DOC then to Reddit and FT it WILL get abused. It was bound to happen. What kinda action AOD will take if any, who knows. There are still certain lenders I choose not to even share on here for the fear of them getting shut down and the masses applying for that I researched myself. Just like the best MS'er don't share their techniques or they could lose out in 100 of thousands a year... Yes you heard that right, some people do MS for a career. The best ones are never shared and probably those various techniques will live for years as only a handful know of the truly secret ones. Call me greedy on what I share, I can live with it
