In fact the last 4 CUs I've apped for I haven't provided it. 3 of those are in the South.
Out of all the lenders I have, AOD, SSFCU, and DCU were the only ones who wanted POI. It's not a request I'm used to but it's easy enough to comply since Social Security sends an award letter every year and I also get my direct deposit to the same checking account. SSFCU wanted bank statements and AOD and DCU took the award letter.

Yes, from what I remember, my recent request from USAlliance is the first time for a credit card app I have been asked for POI. (And Amex CLI and mortgage are the only other times I recall)
@Anonymous wrote:AOD has wanted POI from every single person who has applied. I haven't heard of anyone getting around this yet. It's the first thing they ask you since it's on the Docusign they send for the membership.
I do know a few people that mentioned no POI in the mega thread. NTM, I have already provided it, being that I am already a member, and perhaps less tired eyes will see it when the tidal wave slows.
While they may request it, they may also take into consideration the flow coming in.
Also, as I said, my income is unusual, but it all on the checkstubs. The manager just insisted on reading 1 line and disregarded the rest. None of it is commission, either, it is all contracted and agreed upon money that will be received. She considered my second checkstubs to be OT and discarded, shich they absolutely were not.
My hopes is, with regular and consistent flow, a longer relationship, and better scores, they will "actually" consider my POI. I think it was smoke in mirrors previously, so I am unsure why she even insisted that I apply for card.
I was also one of the early on joiners, it looks like they now have modified how they handle and consider some things. Like SLs. I would have gladly given statements of actual payments, but they decided that 2.5% of the total balance is what my payments were, which was insane!
They are also now asking for W2, tax returns, or bank statements, which would have greatly helped my cause.
Fhe manager some how (oddly, as there is not a single line on any checkstub that reflects) determined Ibmade 26k annual. I made 134k last year. Even if she discarded "some" of the income, in my opinion ridiculous, my W2/tax returns at least would have showed 74k which is 3x better than 26k lol
Like I said, I have rather atypical and unusual style of payment of income. I could literally have my employer dish it out however I wanted, as long as it is all accounted for (and of course not more than I actually make). If I asked, I could have it reflect all monies as taxable income (starting now, not back dating), but why would I do that for a CC? I would possibly do it for a mortgage down the road, but not a CC, and not even an auto loan.
Thank for everyone's input. I can start directing the DDs there and move it around and such. It doesn't hurt to try.
We don't really have any DPs at all on original members and POI, just new members apping for the card. Maybe they loosen up a bit with relathionship and time.
Autopay posted like clockwork this morning to CC and AOD checking.
Anyone have any experience adding an AU? I called and was told there's a written form to fill out. Is this to be emailed or mailed? I didn't have time to keep waiting on hold, so was wondering if someone else knows.

Yes. I did that this week. They needed the name and SSN of the AU, a picture of the DL for the AU and their social security number. Then they took that information and sent a DocuSign document for both me and the AU to sign. Once that was electronically signed, they ordered and mailed the cards.
