Oh well. I'll just apply for Discover or wait for HMBradley... They're super nice but sheesh!
Bummer man, sorry to hear ![]()

Wow, sorry 😞 for that!
Anyone look at the 2020 Annual Report? Looks like net income is slightly down compared to last year - I hope they keep the card as is!

Assets grew about 23% though which is some impressive growth for a small CU. Net income was similar to what it was in 2018, I doubt alarm bells are going off over there.
Hi,
I recently applied for a membership to AOD FCU. I have submitted all requested documentation. They are asking for references (family, friend, co-worker) with the application.
Has anyone had to provide this information?
Thanks,

Hi, Yes. AOD is very conservative, that is a requirement of all applicants. Good luck!

Welcome to My Fico Forums, @Anonymous.
Yes, that is standard for everyone. A long time ago, this information actually used to be much more common when applying for credit. AOD FCU is not only 'conservative' but very traditional and "old-school" in how they process applications.
I wouldn't expect them to call your references. They just want additional contacts in case there are problems or questions with your account and they can't reach you.

I was wondering if I don't work for one of the employer for AOD FCU can I join some how different?
Thanks

@TryN2Rebuild Yes, the most common eligibility methods are listed in Post 1:
Known successful eligibility memberships outside of geo/employment/standard eligibility:
-Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA)
(Membership is processed through the International Mountain Bike Association IMBA, NEABA Chapter)
-United Way of East Central Alabama (limited to members rather than donations)
-Anniston Bridge Club
-Anniston Runners Club
-Calhoun Court Chambers Membership ($90 join fee)
-Purple Martin Conservation Association ($35 annual fee)
