I've finally transitioned from the credit repair phase into the credit rebuild phase.  This forum has been a tremendous help in how I've approached the rebuild stage and what CC's I've applied for in my rebuild stage.  I have applied for 5 CC's and have been approved on every single one of them (one caveat, i got the 99/500 with BOA).  I also opened a Crown Jewelers card but, I will never use it again after my initial watch purchase is paid off.  Here are the cards I've opened:

BOA 99/500CL

Captial One 1250CL (500CL when i opened, called backdoor number and bumped CL to 1250 after only having the card for 4 months)

WAMU 5000CL

AMEX DSM 3000CL

Barnes and Noble Mastercard 2500CL

Crown Jewelers 2500CL

I'm through with getting CC's.  The only thing left is to eventually move from the AMEX DSM to the AMEX Blue Cash, allow my BOA to graduate, and to close out CJ.  Thanks to everyone here who has made this board worth its weight in gold.

By the way, how did you get a WAMU card? Do you have a checking/savings account with them?

I went to WAMU to open a savings account and ended up opening 3 accounts with them.  They have some new checking/CD/savings account that was to good to pass up.  While in the branch I applied for the CC. 

If you listen to some of the people on the boards they'll tell you that you can open an online savings for $1 and then apply for the WAMU card.  That'd be the best way to become a customer if your ultimate goal is to apply for the card.  You have to be a customer of WAMU to apply for their CC.  I tried the online savings first, but my fraud alert on my credit reports prevented me from being approved for the online savings... it said i needed to go into a branch.  Hope this helps.

Super Congrats mporter!!!

You have a very nice mix of cards and that 99/500 card

will graduate to unsecured before you know it. Don't be

surprised if it turns out to be your highest credit limit

down the road cuz BofA is very generous with CLI's....

You have to be a current customer to app cold, not from a preapproval.  I think you said you had a preapproved offer, right, akaniks?  That's the difference here.

Correct Chedder.  I app'd cold and was told that i needed to be a customer.  I did not receive a pre-approval letter.  Apparently it wasn't always like this, but that's what i had to do to get my WAMU card.
