APR with Discover

I was approved for a Discover More card and just found out my fixed APR after the introductory rate of 0% is 18.99%.  Should I call them and discuss lowering it.  It is still lower than my BOA rate, but I was really wanting to get a lower APR.

What do you all think?

Re: APR with Discover

I would wait until after the into period.  Give them a chance to see how you handle the account.  If you've used the card and paid on time every month, they are more likely to consider doing something for you than if you have no history with them.

I agree with masdeocho. I too have a new More card, and when I called to activate I asked that question, and what mas said is what the CSR told me. Smiley Happy

Re: APR with Discover

I just got my Discover last week and heard the same thing. 17.9% after the intro period. I told them that was much higher than my other cards - CSR said to call back after the BT period and we could talk about it.
