Yes but you aslo need to increase the limit $200 will not cut it for an analyst even if they want to give you the card. You need to show you can handle a good limit of credit also.

Yes I will also see you in the garden and even tho I am here I still love to here stories of peoples efforts and approvals so update us from time to time. This site is great even if you are not applying for a new card or cli. I would not app for anything else at this time maybe 8 months people say 6 but I think 8 to 10 is the number. Atleast in my case.

My advice is if you can afford it is to open a secured card with Bofa.  you can park 5k like I did for a year,  and if you are good with your payments  it will gradurate in a year maybe even a few months early.

Re: Above Average scores but having a hard time getting my first CC :(

Make sure you apply for the version for average credit if you decide to apply for the Cash Rewards card. Due to lack of history, you most likely won't qualify for the Excellent version and Cap1 really doesn't have a recon department. You would have to contact the EO for recon. Good Luck! 7 INQs isn't terribly bad but not good either. I was approved for the Discover It with 5 INQs. I think that your lack of credit makes the INQs stand out more. Your best bet is Cap1 because you have history with them already. I have the Cash Rewards card they offer and it is pretty decent. I've earned $150 cash back since July with at least $75 as a 50% cash back bonus coming this July.

+1

Always a good idea to have a high credit limit under your belt!
