Accidental large purchase just before closing date FIX?

I’ve tried SO HARD to keep my balance low this month. I’ve paid off everything down to just $1 and stopped using my spg card because it’s closing date is on the 10th.

Just now I made a purchase of over $300 with the card when I meant to use one of the other cards. If I leave this purchase alone will it be posted on the Oct 10th statement?

It is in Canadian dollars, so I can’t see the exact amount to pay back until it’s posted. The probability of paying it off before 10th is ZERO.

I’m trying to keep my utilization ridiculously low, without this purchase it will be at 0.02% for next transunion update.

Use Bill Pay from your bank account to make a payment. It should arrive by 10th

I personally wouldn’t stress it. Utility has no memory.

Yup, 2nd that. Also, there have been times where charges on my Amex were Pending for 3 days so anything is possible as to if it makes it onto your statement.  Either way, don't sweat it.

It's not the end of the world. Util has no memory and your cards are there for you to use them and benefit from them. Don't let them stress you out.

Also, it's possible that the charge won't post before the 10th anyway.  And if it does, you may see a score drop for one billing cycle, then you can get things back the way you want next month.

You can always push a payment using bill pay, or pull it from the card issuer's website, whichever way gets a payment posted faster.

Honestly, OP, just enjoy your purchase. That’s what credit cards are for. Not to stress whether one has less than .02% UT.

Also, like others have said, which is extremely important, UT has no memory.

Just my 2 cents.
