Good choice on waiting. Be aware that Citi and Chase are known to black list. I'm not sure if BoA does just mentioning so you don't waste inquiries. It has been over 15 years and still black listed from Chase. YMMV

I burned Chase back in 2006 with 2 cards that charged off and went into collections....Chase this past month gave me an 11k Chase Freedom Visa Signature to start.

I had one card with them and I'm pretty sure it was under 700.00 back in 2009. It was just a charge off.

I tried to GW write them about paying it last year in September but of course they forwarded it to a collection agency so they wouldn't let me. The collection agency isn't on my report though.
Do you bank with Chase?
You better not try Chase just yet ....If the collection agency is not reporting right now, they could........it's kinda weird that the charge off shows on your credit, but the the collection....
