Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

A lot of people have posted here about similar situations and that "rush". You're right. It isn't simple to stop apping when you have previously been denied, or thought you'd be denied. However there will come a time very soon when you WILL see nothing but denials due to the amount of inquiries you generate, and the new accounts. You'll also see small credit limits, absurd interest rates, and you'll have one heck of a time getting that fixed with out MORE inquiries and possible denials on your credit report.

The sooner you find the will and reason to stop apping the less damage you'll do to yourself in the long term. Also, if you're getting emotional validation, excitement and a rush from the approvals, you'll take it very badly when the denials start rolling in. Some people stop apping at that point, but others will continue to app even MORE because of the bad feelings being denied cause. If you think that might happen to you, I hope you reconsider before you hit submit on that next application.

We all feel that way but the downside can be lower limits, denials and no CLI's on current cards.............Sooooooo

At some point we all must stop think rationally and make good decisions about how we proceed and build for the future of our portfolio vs the high of congratulations.

Also I believe she (he?) joined the garden yesterday actually... if memory serves. If so perhaps an ERT alert is in order!

Also, with your scores, it's best to work on resolving your negative items on your reports before applying for anything more! I don't say that to sound preachy but because I hate seeing people get approvals they don't need for junk cards (possibly such as store cards you won't really use more than a couple times) I'd much rather find ways to help you and other posters get the best terms and limits possible!

Re: Addicted

Thanks everyone for the responses! yes, i had joined the gardening club forum just the other day and didnt last long. However, after reading some of your responses, I dont want to risk getting a bunch of denials and possibly prevent some CLI's on my current cards. I am going to practice self control and STOP applying for stuff ASAP. lol I want to refinance my car in 6 months so my goal will be to stop applying as of yesterday which was my last app. So Sept 7th, 2014 is my goal. With all the support that I receive on here, I know I can do it! Thanks again and I will stay updating and replying and learning!
