I am disapointed that the CLI from 200.00 to 5000.00 (4800 increase) did not make my EX move one point.
Is this normal?
I was looking for a little bump
Has your EX report updated with that new limit?
Yes it has and according to "my fico" report pulled today...not a single point increase
A CLI doesn't directly affect your scores.
It affects your utilization, and if utilization is already good, then I wouldn't expect to see an increase.
Yea utilization is at 1 %
:-(
I was hoping for a little bump...oh well
I've heard of scores getting a bump when UTL is closer to 7 or 8%. Have you tried playing around with this to find your sweet spot?
It will increase...just got to give it a little time.
Great thing with the big bump in CL for you is other banks will try to match your new CL.
Patience grasshopper.
Oh thats good to know other banks will try and match. barclays already did
My other citicard has a 2k limit so maybe they will try and match their other card at 5k
BofA is at 1k so hopefully they will try and match citi's limits too
Never knew they tried to match one another

If you have good/great credit, banks will compete for your business. Just let your account age and request a CLI down the road. Start with the ones that SP you first. Manage your hard inquries wisely on each reports. GL.

+1
An item to keep in mind OP, if BK is still present on your CRs (even as it ages) you are bucketed with those of similar profiles. So, you have to let time take its course.
