Re: Advice on profile please.

Thank you so very much for your advice. I intend to follow every one's advice. Also, doing something like this credit rebuild, being honest is mandatory. Does no good to lie or leave anything out and expect to get any kind of useful information from anyone. Thanks again for all the great advice. All card set up on minimum payment automatically each month although i plan to pif. If i don't have the cash to pay the card off days after putting a charge on it, i don't NEED the item. May want it but don't need it. Also set my samsung calendar up to check on due date to make sure nothing is owed on the card. Will pay the 800 sumthin on the nfcu cash rewards card each month for the yr that 1.99% applies then pay it off completely. All I know for now but all advice welcomed.

Re: Advice on profile please.

Someone please correct me if I have this wrong, but I think I've read that the Cap One Secured doesn't unsecure anymore.

If that's right, I don't see much point in OP keeping that Card - they already have a Cap One Quicksilver for relationship-building with the lender. The impact on age, with so many accounts all about the same age, is minimal to none. And the card has an annual fee as well as a deposit tied up.

You are correct, data points for 2019, secured Capital One cards will not graduate.

I don't think Capital One is doing account combination, credit line re-allocation either. Plus, it's a secured card. I would think you only are able to get your deposit back if you close the secured card.
