Does Blispay allow you to pay your balance with a debit card?  That would be one advantage the Citi has.  And maybe financial stability... someone who likes to keep things simple might not want to go looking for a different credit card next year when this whole thing goes Tango Uniform.

I still haven't seen any evidence whatsoever to support the assertion that BlisPay is likely to go under.

BlisPay fits...  Go for it!

Double Cash allows much more redemption flexibility. You can get a direct deposit, gift cards, etc. For some people, doesn't matter, but more choices are never a bad thing.

Also, people need to keep in mind signup bonuses. Yes, 2% on all of your purchases is great, but if you can get a card with less overall CB but a $150 or $200 bonus, that will outperform a DC or Blispay for many thousands of dollars in spend (which could be a year of spending for some people!). So for the hard pull and AAOA ding, you may consider a card with a bonus instead.

If you read back through the thread, the automatic redemption is one of the features the OP LIKED about the card and there was no mention of looking for a better bonus.

From the first page:

"I'm pretty much leaning towards blispay only cuz it applies 2% automatically. That way i don't have to be bothered by going online and checking how points i can apply to my bill. Just thought that if I'm gonna use my credit card anyway might as well save some money with my credit card. "

I would highly-recommend Blispay, have had a very good experience with them so far & the instant 2% cashback on all purchases

Wait, so the 2% cash back is instant?  I thought it was automatically credited only when your statement cuts?  Cap One's cash back is what I would call instant... you get it as soon as the charge posts.  I guess I'll find out soon enough, because...

Curiousity got the better of me this morning and the devil made me apply for this silly card.  I guess I was bored.  I can say they aren't all that INQ sensitive, because I have 8 on EX in the past 24 months.  Was approved for $7500 with a phone call after getting the 5 day message.

Their web site is absolute garbage.  The thing looks like it belongs on a darn phone.  I positively cannot stand these types of sites.  I'll cut them some slack for now though as they probably didn't have time to make a real site yet.  And honestly I don't care what a site looks like as long as the company is going to pay me a lot of money in cash back.  But it does seem rather unprofessional of them to deliver a darn phone site to regular user agents.  Next I'll be forced to wade through sites optimized for a freaking wristwatch?  Lowest common denominator does not work.

If OP feels it will work for them they should go for it. Only they can decide that based on the information given. I only mentioned the bonus thing because it's pure math - it will take a lot of spend before a card with no bonus is outweighed by something else. So while OP may not care about bonuses, I just wanted to point that out. If you start out ahead 200 bucks, it takes a long time for another card to catch up.

Correct, the cashback is credited to the account as soon as the statement cuts IME, but cashback amounts for individual transactions show up on the Blispay website as soon as the charge posts, as you had mentioned above per Cap1.  So you are right, technically not "instant" cashback per se, but still relatively quick cashback updating times per each posted charge Smiley Happy

ETA:  congrats on the approval and on the awesome SL there!

Basically if one is not interested in categories, it gets no better than BlisPay, 2% cash back on EVERYTHING.
Could easily be your main spend card.

If you feel you meet the credit requirements I would go for it.

eh I would say Citi DC is better if you want a basic 2% CB card... I rather put my trust into Citi being here for the long haul and less likely to change than this brand new one.

It has been mentioned in a couple threads that Blispay might be a hidden TL or only report to one bureau, though they are just rumors at the moment.

The hidden TL aspect might be a reason to get it for some, or a reason to avoid it for others.

There is a few major advantages for the Citi DC.... It's a bigger bank so if you're betting on which is more likely to default it would be Bilspay.... 2%CB and 6 months of 0% APR with no min payments sound great but they are betting enough people that $2.00 min interest payments or swipe it a ton.... I can easily see this disappearing in the next 3-6 years....

Eh I got $180 in CB on my DC in the 8 to 10 months I have used it.

Evidence is within itself ... Brand new.... plus the 0% APR with no min payments for 6 months is a recipe for disaster .... Plus the semi low score required ot get the card I see this going under quite quickly depending on how it pans out and who gets the card. That or they change the offer for like 6 month 0% APr with a min payment and 1% CB....
