I forgot to mention that my DW, who has a lower score than me and a recent collectios from DirecTV for $900+ was denied an increase on her classic platinum for lates, but approved for a QS with 1000 limit a week later. It doesnt make any sense. I wanted to ditch the secured card and move on to another Cap One product which is why i apped for something diff (even though i shouldnt have done as many). Now i will ditch them all together. Not to mention they also offered me a auto loan with a ridiculous rate(after 'ive already paid a car off through them) last year.

Right now Chase sucks because they denied me for the Freedom. But once they approve me, they won't suck any more.
I really laughed out loud. Truth
Wait you were approved with a 619 for a Chase Freedom for 3k?

⬆︎ That, exactly!
OP don't take this the wrong way, BUT YOUR SCORES SUCK!! And they suck bad!!
Okay, you can dislike Cap One, and you can say that you should have been approved for whatever card because....
But, the fact remains that currently your scores say that you are a high risk...
Each lender looks at YOUR credit and makes a determination based upon what they see. I have been a member of this forum just short of 2 months. My starting scores are in my sig. Chase turned me down for the Freedom card...BoA (who I have been banking with for 15 years) turned down my request to unsecure my card..Barclay no join... Now I have all. It is your responsibility to make the changes. I am amazed at how personal members take decisions by lenders? I assure you, if you cleaned up baddies on your report and raised your score just 55 points, you might have seen a different result.
+1, totally agreed. This is not a case of Capital One sucking. This is a case of simply having too risky a score, IMO.
Right now I think Citi sucks. Maybe if they gave me a Double Cash card my tune might change a bit.
I'll like CapOne a bit more if I got the Venture card and if they weren't so weird with their application process.
