Right, but we all know that with a PC or anything like that with Capital One you have to just call the EO...calling the normal line is a waste of your time and they are just going to bounce you around. It's not bad customer service so much as lack of empowerment/training. They simply aren't allowed to accomplish anything. Sometimes they may be rude about it, but it's not always automatically bad customer service.

They lose 10 points for every transfer and 5 points for each time I can't understand the person on the other end.
Those requirements = Fail for Capital One CS.
I know of the EO work-around quite well but it seems like even THAT is being dilluted as of late. The consumer just can't win!

Again if a lender doesn't work for somebody, they have many other options.
There was a little rumor going around that Venture CS is supposed to be just a touch better. I am looking forward to testing this extensively (At least until I run out of tylenol.)
@kdm31091 wrote:Again, I fail to see where they have "provided lackluster service" in this case simply because they declined you.
You applied for several products (at 3 HP each) in a row. They declined you again and again because they aren't willing to extend you more credit. It's not about "stepping up" to anything -- they can't just give you unlimited money.
If you can explain what you are mad about other than being declined, please share, because it seems unfair to call it bad customer service because you don't get everything you want. They're a lender, not a charity -- they have rules and regulations for how much and what they lend. Are they too conservative towards some people? Yes, but then you move on and use one who is nicer to you. Like I said before, we all have stories about any lender. I do not particularly care for how Chase responds to attempts to improve my account (APR reduction), so I just told myself I won't use them in the future and will be likely closing my card with them sooner or later. I don't post threads about how much they annoy me -- they just don't work for me. It's not bad customer service because they won't give me what I want. They just choose not to lower APR by my request. That's fine, I have other lenders who will, so I just move on.
I already explained my reasons in the very first post and if you didn't understand then, there's no reason for me to explain it again because you still won't understand.

As I said you're free to just change lenders if they aren't working for you. I dont see anything in your oirignal post other than being upset about being declined for new credit. Unless I'm missing something. But it doesn't matter. You're unhappy so just use a different creditor, and problem solved. They aren't all gonna work for everyone.
And that's what i said i was going to do if im not mistaken...
As for this thread, I'm done. You guys have a nice day.

It appears that the OP has done JUST that as a matter of fact with a shiny new Freedom in their wallet.
And the Capital One frustration begins to set in.
Things are finally returning to normal...
