Am I pushing my luck?

To make a long story short. Once upon a time stellar credit, high 700's Amex Gold Card, BOA Platinum etc ect. DW lost job, one income house for a year, got very behind about 7 years ago. 4 charge offs, some paid in full some not. Started watching my Experian score about a year ago, in the dumps for first six months. Got a car loan, last year, went a whole year with no baddies. Two weeks ago I get a note from Experian that my score changed, wow 650!, pulled all 3 690 on TU, 631 EF. Don't know what my FICO is yet. So applied for a Cabelas Club Visa, viola! Approved with $1500 CL. Tried Credit One, bango $1000 CL, Amazon, blammo $1400 CL. Walmart zing $1000 CL. Ok I think I'm on a roll. I have a C1 card with $1800 CL paid off in full for 90% of the time. Ask for a CL increase from one of the back door numbers, DENIED! (**bleep**?) Hummmm Amazon and Walmart are both GE so I start looking for other GE store cards, wow Dicks Sporting Goods. STOP! I saw to myself, let's not push your luck. I went 3 for 4 Any suggestions? Or should I count my blessings and continue to garden? (Dicks has a really sweet shotgun)

Hello and WELCOME to the FORUMS!!!

It is most definitely time for you to head to the garden to nurture your new cards. You are doing a superb job at getting your credit back on track, but at this point in time its gonna be a long-shot to get approved for more prime, worthwhile cards. CONGRATS on your Approvals!!

Welcome to the forums!!!

STOP!!!

Best advice I can give you. Let your credit cards grow. Your taking on too many INQ's and killing your AAoA.
