No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I filed for bk7 in May 2019. I would love to get the Delta Platinum card but know I have to wait for the 61 month mark (the things you learn on this site). Is there any benefit to getting either the Credit One AmEx card or the AmEx HYSA while I'm waiting (ie better odds of getting approved or a higher limit)?
Credit One is just using the AMEX payment network; their approval of your card application has nothing to do with whether or not AMEX will approve a card. The benefit would be having a credit card that you presumably want from Credit One while you're waiting for the bankruptcy to resolve off your credit record (at which point you can switch to different companies). Do you actually want the Credit One AMEX? Or were you just interested because you thought it might be a shortcut to a card issued by AMEX?
I wouldn't expect the AMEX HYSA to make an appreciable difference in them approving you compared to getting past the Chapter 7.
Good luck on your rebuild!

Neither will increase your approval odds nor SL determination directly. The effect of opening a credit one Amex is the same as opening any other card. The HYSA and CC departments at Amex are only related by the brand name and, last I heard, there is no communication between the departments.
Thank you, @notmyrealname23 and @dragontears . I would only be getting the CreditOne card for establishing a relationship, otherwise I have no desire for CreditOne so I'll cross that off the list. I guess I just have to be patient and wait a few more years.

Yea, the Credit One Amex has no relationship to Amex the bank (AENB). They just use the same payment network as mentioned above.
