Re: AmEx slow to give the MR points...

I opened my Zync card in December. My 10,000 points have been pending since I opened the card. I just paid my first statement, and imagine that once I get my second statement, I'll be able to actually use the points.

Current Cards: Banana Republic Visa ($5,300), Chase Freedom ($2,000), Discover It ($11,500), Amex Costco True Earnings ($5,000), Chase Slate ($2,500)

I have the same complaint. MR points pend too long with AMEX. I never have problems with AMEX posting my Hilton points.

Bonus points for signing up usually post very quickly but regular usage points typically lag two months.

Glad you got this taken care of.  FYI in case you ever have a similar issue, or for anyone else reading, I've found sending the message to the social networking people works much better and faster than contacting the normal CSRs for things like this.  I don't know why that is, but I imagine those on the side of facebook/twitter, etc. are concerned with making sure the promotions are running smoothly.  In the secure message center, select social media inquiry as your topic and send the message that way.

Excellent idea! They're probably pretty motivated to satisfy the unhappy customer complaints that are there are all to view.
