Hello,
Just an update on the Amazon app. Well I got my card today and was indeed surprised. I got the starting CL of $8K so it was indeed more than the rep said over the phone. I am very happy with it. Wasnt approved for the Sappire because of the 5/24 rule. I called and tried to plea my case, but the rep I spoke with in reconsideration said that that is the only rule that they cannot make any exceptions and some other things she mentioned. She said that if I would of had applied for the Sapphire instead I would have gotten approved first because she didnt see a reason why not. She said I was a good candidate but of course that she was not a Credit advisor so she couldnt say much. So...
Well, anyways, I will wait the time and appy again. I will retire to the Garden for now. I think!!!
Ps. Oh I got approved for the regular Visa Signature, not Prime, however, my card's a sturdy plastic, not like the regular ones either, borders are yellow but the card is not blue, nor dark grey but something like a mix between silver and white. Is that normal? Why not a blue card? I mean, I would of like the blue one instead but I sure do love this color.
What do you guys think?

I dont have the card so I cant answer about the color, but are you a Amazon Prime member? I was under the impression if you were that the card would be upgraded to the prime version at some point.
Got mine up to 6k in one year. Started at around 2k. Have since closed it after I got the Chase version.

Hello,
Well no I am no longer a Prime member. Canceled a while ago. But the card I got is not the Prime card it was just the regular Rewards card but the color is different than their blue color advertised card.
And based on what I've read, you do have to be a Prime member to be able to apply for the Prime card. I could be wrong though. But have not found otherwise.

This is one of my goal cards!! Congrats on getting in with them. I think if you were a prime member when you applied that you would have received the prime card. I have also read that some people who got the chase amazon visa later signed up for amazon prime and then received an updated card to reflect prime. I could be wrong but I dont think you have to be approved for the chase amazon prime. Your in with chase so I think they only difference is that your not a prime member. You might want to inquire, but I believe rejoining prime would get you the prime version. The only difference is that you would get 5% back at amazon instead of 3%.

Hello,
@Anonymous! I do hope you soon become able to get the card. To be quite honest @Anonymous I am not sure if I would actually reconsider joining the Prime club again. Yes, if you are indeed a Prime member you will be definitely be able to apply for the Prime card. IDK about people signing up for Prime and received the updated card to be honest.
Most definitely I dont think I want to apply for the Prime card as it is not 100% beneficial to me. Sure I do use Amazon a lot but not sure about the Prime membership and fees. I do maximize my cash back using my cards, offers, other referral sites, etc. to get sometimes up to 25% cash back with all the offers. Other thing is that I do travel a lot and often times Amazon does not ship to where I am at times, so..
Good luck with them and I do hope you can join Chase soon. Keep us updated if you do get either card.
