Amazon re-open???

Hi everyone! So, here's the deal... I had an Amazon store card for less than a year that I was too tempted to use and at times carried a balance on. The APR was something ridiculous like 22%, so I PIF and closed the account. After reading through these forums, I realized how much of a mistake it may have been. Has anyone had any experience with re-opening a GEMB account without a HP? I want it back to help my utilization moreso than to actually use it (Yes, I've gotten more disciplined ) Thoughts???

It depends on how long you closed it. Less than 3 months MAYBE...but most likely it will be a hard and show as a new account on your report in addition to the closed one. Call their customer service and ask, then let us all know.
