Same thing happened to me with Lowes a few days ago. Used chat feature to ask cli from 300 to 5000. Got reply "congratulations your 5000 request is approved , your new limit is now 5000." So checked my account the next day and still showed 300. Got back on chat and asked what happened and was told there was no record of my request! So she ran the request again and denied. So called csr and was told to try one more time with her on phone and still denied. I was really not expecting that much increase but it really hurt to see an approval like that and then have your hopes stomped on by someone's mistake so I can feel your wife's pain. I probably should be hanging out in the garden anyway.
