I've got an ED and a BCE on which DH is an AU. I'm sure I got whatever bonus they were offering at the time.
DH has a Plat that we're not sure if we'll keep past renewal and would need somewhere to park MRs. Thinking of getting an ED.
1) Do you think ME getting the bonus would stop HIM getting the bonus?
2) If not, I'd try to find a better than 10k bonus. The way I read DOC it seems the 25k is still available with some hoop jumping. I'd hate to waste my time hoop jumping if he can't get the bonus anyway.
3) Amex wouldn't have any problem giving him an ED of his own even though he's an AU on mine which has basically been SD'd for a year besides a few amex offers here and there (25k CL), right? (I know, his score, util, dti etc all factor in, I just mean based on this one fact)

1. No, it only applies to the primary; being an AU does not prohibit someone from getting the bonus.
2. Based on what method you use you can get the max 25k MR bonus to pop up which is the highest I know of with the ED. The SUB on the EDP isn't much higher I think with it being 30k last time I saw.
3. Correct. As far as we know AMEX doesn't even consider their own AU accounts when people are applying.
Thanks!
