Well, I was just past the 6 month mark since the last CLI on my BCP card. Was at a CL of $9K. Asked for $25K (not willing to poke the sleeping dragon). I was counter offered $20,700. Well, I was happy with that (over double) and said yes. With the addition of the Cash+ card yesterday that is an additional $26.7K of credit. Not bad for the weekend's quest.

What are your stats? Like your FICO?
FICO scores in the sig are accurate. Personal income $92k. Util is low, but probably around 10% (maybe a bit higher) because I have a few things I am carrying at 0%. I did a refi on my mortgage in 11/12, so there is an inq onall three from that, as well as a HELOC right after, so I have an inq from that as well. Other inq's were over a year old. I have a new inq from Cash+, but not sure which bureau they hit. AA of A is around 7 years. Been an AMEX cardholder since 1999.
Anything statwise that I missed?
Super congrats!
Nice going! Congrats!!!

With the exception of slaying a few dragons and rescuing a princess, sounds like a great quest to me...

Curious how the counteroffer works did you call and talk to someone or did you do it online and it instantly gave you a counter?
I did it online. They said that I was not able to get the requested CLI, but that I was elligible for the reduced amount, which brought my limit to $20,700. I just had to accept it. That was plenty, and will help dramatically with the utility on that card. I run about $1200 to $1800 a month through that card. That will keep me below the 10% mark now. (old limit was $9k)
