Hello,
I am trying to understand the 61 day CLI request with Amex, and I am trying to make sense if can you request this on multiple cards? I read different posts about only available on the first account, and then every 6 months on the others.
Can you someone shed some light on this? I have read the 61 day guide, but I can't seem to find how this effects multiple accounts. To me, each account should be the unique and the 61 day CLI opportunity applies to each account, but I may be missing something.
Interesting.. I guess I missed this part...
"Minimum 6 month since last CLI rule applies across ALL accounts held by an individual and includes both personal & business accounts for the same person. So if CLI was successful on a personal account, no CLI can be approved on all other personal and business accounts for the same person for a period of 6 more months. (Posts 5 and 6 of the AmEx 61 day CLI result: 7-10 day written response thread)"
So, if I get an increase on the EveryDay Card, after 61 days, does that mean that my Delta SkyMiles would not be eligible for a CLI for 6 months? Am I reading this correctly? That is what the report (link above) seems to show.
You can only request a CLI one 1 card at a time and then you'd have to wait 90 days to request another. So for example if you have a Delta Amex that's 60 days old and over from ACTIVATION, go ahead and request a CLI, but if you have another BCE that's also 60 days old and over, you'd then have to wait another 90 days from the date of your CLI request.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate the response.

Exactly. That's why the 3x CLI thread exists. It's a very useful resource.

That's incorrect. If denied, one can make another request in 90 days. It's 6 months since the last CLI granted on any account. Also from the 3x CLI thread:
What happens if you are denied CLI?
===========================================================
If you jumped the gun before the 60 days/6 months rule, the reason for denial is considered ineligibility. If that is the case you can reapply after the original and correct 60day/6month timeline. You do not have to wait an additional 90 days, so the clock doesn't get reset. If you were eligible and got denied due to other factors, then you are ineligible to reapply for another 90 days since the denial date.

6 month if approved 90 days is if you were declined..
