Amex AU question?

my brother is an Amex card holder since 2010, if he adds me as an AU will it show from 2010? If yes, I'm already an amex member, can I get my card dated back to 2010?

Re: Amex AU question?

ACMs do not inherit the primary cardholders history. If you are a current Amex cardholder and you are added as ACM, the only date that will be backdated is your MSD not your CR's

Re: Amex AU question?

Member since date.
So if I have my brother add me, my MSD on my delta will then be 2010, but on my CR it will still show up as 2013, is there any benefit to having my brother add me as a ACM then?

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but no. There is no benefit for you (credit report wise). Your utilization and CL will look better, but lenders know that is due to being an ACM/AU, therefore it's kinda moot.

Re: Amex AU question?

Unless your MSD is 2010, no. If your MSD is 2013, it will be 2013. When did you become a member?
