Re: Amex Approval with these FICO Scores

I keep reading about bumping up the CL upon activation... how do you do that?

You sign up online to view and pay your bill. They prompt you to go paperless, but you can still receive paper. There's a request credit line increase button.

whats the easiest one to get approved for?

Easiest AMEX cards to get purportedly are One, Delta, Hilton and Green.

Green is a charge card, so that you must PIF each month.

One is something of a hybrid. Despite the benefits of hybrid automobiles, hybrid cards tend not to be very desirable. As such, while it's relatively easy to get One, a lot of folks don't recommend it. You cannot convert a One card into anything else.

Delta and Hilton are true credit cards. In the future, they can grow up to become a Blue or a Clear.

If you have a defaulted AMEX, and you PIF, the Oasis Optima is fairly easy to get if you receive an invitation. The Oasis Optima is not the same Optima as the Platinum Optima on the website.

Re: Amex Approval with these FICO Scores

Results vary, but if you're going to apply for AMEX it tends to pay to go ahead and apply for multiple cards all at once online. Maybe you get one approval. Maybe you get all you ask for. An applicant tends to incur only a single INQ per CRA. They tend to pull EX, and possibly also TU.

What kind of FICO score do you need to get a Starwood and Delta credit card. What is an HH card?

Some are getting Delta with scores in the high 500s.

Re: Amex Approval with these FICO Scores

I read your scores and my scores a pretty much like yours and I was turned down by AMex Delta.  What are my options.   My EX score is 640.

Try reconn, and if that doesn't work go to CCCU... What are your baddies?? Amex is NOT BK friendly and they maintaina a black list.

CCCU is BK friendly and seem to be opening quite a few new accounts recentlySmiley Wink
