Hello y'all
Just a question out of curiosity ... a coworker and friend of mine got the Amex BCP about 2 years ago, about the same time that I did. The other day when we were talking, she proudly shared that Amex already auto-increased her credit line 3 times in the past two years. I smiled and nodded but was wondering if that is even a thing? Aren't we talking here about that we have to hit the Amex LUV button to get an increase? Or are there indeed auto-CLIs out there? Just trying to understand if I am being fooled with or if the story is real. Thanks!
I got an auto CLI from Amex. I've never asked for one.
As to why you don't hear about auto CLIs with Amex... it's because they aren't given a chance since people mark down intervals at which they can ask on their calendars.
In a real world, they happen. Here, CLI requests are made by consumers at 12:01 A.M when one becomes eligible.
What has her spend been relative to her limit? If it has been heavy for the majority of those 2 years, I don't see multiple auto-CLIs as being an outrageous claim.

That made me laugh. ![]()
@Anonymous Good question. I know she is not in the super high credit score range, frankly, the only reason she got the card to begin with, is because our company has an agreement with Amex that all employees are pre-approved for the BCP and Gold. Either way, good to know! Glad to have this board when random questions occupy our minds ![]()
Thanks!

If you have friends who you worry might be fooling with you by making up stories about CLIs that didn't happen, well, then you should...., actually no good advice!

Where is that button, anyway?
I cannot find it in the app
