Amex BCP CLI DP

I couldn't request my first 3x increase after 61 days, waited for 90, nothing,  csr said try today, I did and he said that they want my card to be more established and to try after my next statement cut in July (4th cut) I'm disappointed but it's a marathon not a sprint. I did run more than the limit each month and paid both in full weekly or after purchases depending. Thus month I used twice my limit (total, I never went over my limit) so... 30 more days to wait...

EQ 784, TU 700, EX 683
Mortgage 5, 4, 2: EQ 783, TU 683, EX 661

Starting (started months ago, checked scores after some improvements): EQ 599, TU 653, EX 672
Mortgage 5, 4, 2: EQ 592, TU 657, EX 639

Hang in there! I waited 6 months for my first 3X CLI with Amex and was granted another 3 X CLI today. Amex is well worth the wait, you will get there.

Re: Amex BCP CLI DP

I'm curious about the rules on the BCP 3x increase.  I'm going to try for an increase in  2 months at my 90 day mark too but the SL was $34K so I feel like that's probably already my max.

Re: Amex BCP CLI DP

@BmomUse it like theres no tomorrow. Pay it more than once a month. I did when I was at $1000 with a post BK card. Results:

https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Approvals/AMEX-BCP-Auto-CLI-5000-Post-BK/td-p/6685562

Theres other factors involved that I cant explain. But swiping it as i did. they apparently liked it.

Re: Amex BCP CLI DP

Times sure have changed.  When I started with credit cards, your card had the limit you were first granted.  No increases, ever.  Still have one of them.

What real value, justification does making 3 payments make?  Those that are handing out increases every 30 days are just playing games by not giving you what you deserve out front.  I miss the old days.  Get what you qualified for and be done with the games.

@Zoostation1Always PIF. Reported $0. My one (here we go Smiley Very Happy) AZEO card has my new homeowners insurance that went up thanks to the 2 hurricanes last year on Disco with 11.4%. Will BT it when the new BCU card shows up.
