6% Streaming is good, but USB Cash+ has 5% on TV & Streaming services so between Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple junk and my regular cable/internet/phone bill I get more bang for my buck with USB. Good addition though for the BCP.
3% on Uber, Lyft, Parking and Transit is good to. Between the Groceries, Stream, Gas Stations and Transit this card is a good setup
It does look like a better designed Magnet, I'll be mashing that "replace my card" as soon as it comes out lol
Great changes. I still think this is one of the best cards for cash back. I take full advantage of the 6 percent cash back. The rest is a bonus at this point.
Great idea for the card design change. I was getting sick of the clear. Rubs off easy.
To bad its not metal lol
Was thinking about apping for the gold.. Don't see the point anymore
These are attractive changes and categories, and very tempting to make the shift later this year when I come out the garden. I would expect the banks to follow with updates to their cashback cards.
I am not going to switch back co BCP from BCE
And this is why.
1) Not excited about changes with streaming services because they are linked to my itunes store. I usually buy itunes gift cards from costco for $84.49 for $100 card and additionally earn 2% on my costco account
2) I can't use amex card with walmart and costco that make more than 50% of my grocery purchases (in walmart technically yes but you got the idea)
3) in other grocery stores i use my BCE with decent 3% of cash back
4) not really use uber or lyft
5) gas I usually buy in costco

So this is interesting, I just did a chat with an AmEx customer service rep and they said that I would only get a new card once the expiration expires on my current one, but if I wanted the new design I can order one after May 9th. I figured they’d just update everyone with the card but apparently that’s not the case.
I’ll be getting the new one because I like the look a lot more than the clear one.
This is very much the standard procedure when a card is redesigned. I'm sure customers will be notified about the new categories, but replacing cards costs money, and most consumers (who are not on sites like this) won't be aware until renewal that the design has been changed. (I would also hope that few people care, but clearly on myfico they do, which really honestly is something I cannot understand. It's a small piece of plastic/metal, not something to hang on the wall, wear, or make a continuing statement!)

Will we be able to PC from the regular Blue Cash Magnet card?
I don't see why not, it's technically in the Cash family. And Some people have reported a PC from BCE to the CM.

I use the hell out of Audible (I'd be ashamed, but I have no shame). I was waffling between the BCP/BCE because I'm just over the breakpoint on my grocery spend, but audible (& the rest of streaming, I guess) makes it worthwhile IF it's only on the BCP.
The articles have all said streaming subscriptions. So does that only mean the monthly subscriptions for Audible, Prime Video, etc, or would other purchases count as well? I wouldn't count on anything other than the monthly subscription until more info is available.
