I have an SPG Amex with a $5k limit (since Oct 2013) and a Delta Reserve Amex ($5k limit) since March. I'm looking at applying for my first CLI. Do I need to have the Delta card for 61 days before applying for a CLI, of can I apply for an increase on the Delta card since I've had the SPG card for over 60 days?
Also, my FAKO Score is 730 on Credit.com, AAOA 16 months (backdated), 27% utiliaization, no negs . What are the odds of being approved for the Chase Marriott signature visa? I've received pre-approval offers for the Slate and Freedom cards, but I'd rather get the 70k MR points.

Don't quote me on this, but assuming that you have to wait 61 days from when the account was opened, I would say that you would have to wait 61 days from when your Delta Reserve Amex was opened. I may be wrong though...

If you opened the Delta in March you have to wait to CLI that one until the 61st day. You can, however, ask for the SPG at any time if you'd like -- but then you'd need to wait 6 months to CLI the Delta. (At least, that is my last understanding of the Amex CLI policy.) lol ![]()

+1
Definitely read the 3x CLI thread. It is very detailed and addresses such questions.

From the thread:
After completing the "60" day magic number of the account being open and in good standing, one can request an increased credit limit upto 3X the initial limit starting with the 61st day
Note that it says "the account". 60 days isn't in reference to your AmEx membership but specifically to the account that you're looking to request a CLI.

We can't tell you. A FAKO doesn't mean anything. Odds (and the APR, limit, etc you can get) are generally better with lower utilization. Keep in mind that 30% is generally recommended as a max and 27% isn't much under that. 10% or less is generally ideal. I'd suggest optimizing your utilization, ensuring that it reports and then applying.
Thanks for the clarification.
I got my Experian score from a Credit One prequalify and its at 720 currently. Might try to apply tonight. My utilization won't be decreasing anytime soon as I push a lot through the Amex.
