Amex CLI and limit reallocation questions

Hi all, 

A couple questions. Amex did an increase in March (I didn't request it) on one of my cards after paying the balance down. Will I be able to request a CLI before 6 months since it was their doing?

Also, I'm considering moving about 12k from my ED card (leaving the limit at 500 and balance at 0) to my BCE that has a 6k balance and 19k CL. That would put my CL on that card to 32k. I've read a few places that that could result in a hard pull?? Also, that it would lead to closer scrutiny of the account. Are there downsides to this?

I really don't know about the 6 months thing.  I never got an auto-CLI from them before, so you must be doing something right.

As for moving credit lines, I have done that many times.  I'd recommend leaving $1K on the donor card just because many cards actually have that as a minimum and will deny the request if you don't leave that much on it.  They're not Citi, so it won't be a HP, regardless of how much you move.
