Amex CLI when you have multiple cards ...please help

Hello ...

 

I have 7 Amex Cards. 5 belongs to me and on other 2 I am AU. I applied for Amex Blue recently a week back and was declined for too many inquires and too many new accounts. I got my Amex Costco with credit limit 5K and Amex Blue with credit limit 8.5K in January. My questions now are as below, I appreciate and thank full if any one have answers to these :

 

 I see "Request for CLI " link available on all my cards online now. I wish to request CLI on my Costco card as I use on day to day basis. However, as I said above my new card request for Amex Blue SKY has been declined recently. Will I be eligible for CLI ?

 

Apply for new card and request for CLI are independent events or will there be any sort of dependency and if one fails/declined I need to wait for another 6 months ?

 

What are my chances of getting CLI in my situation now ?

 

Appreciate your inputs in this regard ....

it's best you don't do anything for a while even if they are not related. i am not sure if they are related.

but if you keep applying for new credit and asking for credit limit increases, it is very likely Amex will initiate a financial review process.

+1 stop applying stuff. 

 

As far as the CLI goes they will use the last SP and ask for income info. At this point i'd say you're 50/50 because of the new accounts, worst case they deny your CLI and if that's the case stay idle and garden for a while then try again after things age.

I would put in for the 3x CLI on the Costco now... If you don't get approved, then wait a bit... it's a SP so no biggie.

+1 cool it for awhile 

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Thanks everyone for the info ... There was an considerable increase in my income as well and so thought of CLI .. Any ways I will wait for another 6 months and be in garden ...

WHY??? If you have more income, it's a SP, spook Amex? Who cares... CLI then garden for 6 months!
