My sister is planning to app for two of Amex/s cards. I remember reading somewhere that if you app for the charge and get the approval, you can then apply for the revolver and it would only be one hard pull on Ex. Do I have this correct or backward. Don't want her to be mad at me, so I want to get the story straight before i tell her to pull the trigger. She's palnning to apps for the PRG and the BCE revolver.
I'm not sure if the order matters in regards to one hard pull vs. two, but it is generally advisable to apply for the charge card first since they are easier to qualify for, then if approved apply for the revolver. If you apply for the stricter card first and are denied, you would be unable to apply for the charge card for 31 days.

Listen to this man.
I just did the exact opposite, and screwed myself over for 31 days ![]()
As far as it being a single HP, it may or may not happen. Some people have had success with this but YMMV. I agree that applying for the charge card first is the best approach.
