Amex Delta SkyMiles email

Just got an offer in my email for the Blue Delta SkyMiles card.  I followed the link and it looks like it's still the standard offer of 10K miles for $500 spend, but there's no language about Gold/Plat/Reserve cardholders being ineligible.  Just a heads up that the email offer lacks some restrictive fine print.

The linked page also had an offer for the Gold SkyMiles card of 50K miles for $1K spend which is a very good offer.  It also did not have the language about previous cardholders being ineligible.

So yeah... if you want to bust the Amex lifetime rule on some SkyMiles bonuses, you might want to check your email.

Re: Amex Delta SkyMiles email

Nice. I had one for Gold Delta Sky Miles 50K points after $2K spend in 3 months and then an additional 10K points with $1K additional spend in the first 6 months. It was clearly targeted (I assume) as the email had the last 5 digits of my ZYNC card and it stated "because you are a loyal American Express cardmember........"

I am surprised they are marketing the no fee Blue Delta Sky Miles card. Are you going to go for it?

I don't think it's a lifetime SkyMiles bonus, is it? Amex's lifetime rule applies to the product, not the family. So if you've never had the Blue card before, you're eligible for the signup bonus whether or not you've had any or all of the other Delta SkyMiles Amex cards

Have you read the terms and conditions for the card agreement. The email might not mention it but the CHA probably does. Would be interesting to know

When I read the disclosures for the Blue Delta Card, it indicates that as a current Delta AMEX cardholder I would not be eligible for a bonus on the Blue, full stop.

I've not bothered to read the fine print (I'm not in the market for another Delta card) but I have seen the 'chatter' about them re-writing some of the text as you mention.

It will be interesting to see if this is actually being enforced.  Of course it's always best to assume it is, and be pleasantly surprised if someone finds that it isn't.

I looked through the "benefits and terms" fine print and the previous cardholder language wasn't there.  Normally the application page states this clearly on the right under the card image, but it wasn't there.

I just got that same offer on the Gold through a referral link.  It's the same offer that was public back in October.

I might get the Blue in the future for the 2x restaurant miles, but I can't right now.  I'm already at 2/90 again.
