Amex EDP CLI question

So my first 180day cli on my EDP is right around the corner (11/05) and I want to increase the CL substantially. I have a CL of $3k but I have almost $70k total CL across just 3 other cards that I have. My question is, should I request more than the 3x? I really don't want to go to $9k CL on that card. I wanted to ask for $15k. Will they counter it or just blatantly deny me? Any insight will help me in this situation. Thanks guys

Did you read the AMEX 3X CLI thread?

They won't give you more than 3x. You might ask for it, but they won't give it to you.

If it's your first 180 day CLI, that implies this card started at $1k, then went to $3k? Going to $15k now may be pushing it anyhow. Just an observation. Are you maxing the $3k already today, charging up to $2,500 then PIF?

Occasionally I am getting to $2k. Mainly using it for small charges and PIF. The card started at $1k and immediately asked for 3x upon activation. So nobody has ever requested more than 3x and been approved?

Go for $9k. It'll be plenty of limit and you can be happy you have a card that lets you go from a $1k limit to $9k in a matter of 7 months.

You're already winning compared to other CCC CLI possibilities

If you want more to do, more games to play with your AMEX, ask them for an APR reduction.

Is that your only AmEx? If you have another that's 13 statements old, you can move some CL and then 3x for more (that's what I did for my EDP).

That's my only revolver. My other 2 Amex products are charge cards
