Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
I always figured the delay goes back to the old days where they only offered charge cards. In that case, they wanted to make sure you paid your bill before giving you the points.
But it's 2019, they offer revolving credit products. There's no real need to delay points/cash back by an extra month. They should be able to calculate what you're owed and post it with the statement.
Regardless, since most average consumers don't notice or care, there probably isn't much incentive to change it.
A delay for MRs to post isn't great, but unless you need miles immediately, it's a small price to pay for an occasional 40% transfer promo.

Pretty often... I'm seeing a 25% promo on FlyingBlue transfers right now.
