Amex Everyday points delay?

Re: Amex Everyday points delay?

I always figured the delay goes back to the old days where they only offered charge cards. In that case, they wanted to make sure you paid your bill before giving you the points.

But it's 2019, they offer revolving credit products. There's no real need to delay points/cash back by an extra month. They should be able to calculate what you're owed and post it with the statement.

Regardless, since most average consumers don't notice or care, there probably isn't much incentive to change it.

Re: Amex Everyday points delay?

A delay for MRs to post isn't great, but unless you need miles immediately, it's a small price to pay for an occasional 40% transfer promo.

Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU

How many times have you seen transfer promos happen, and how do you find out about it?

Pretty often... I'm seeing a 25% promo on FlyingBlue transfers right now.
