Tonite i got home from work and found a Gold Envelope in my mailbox...I've been getting emails to apply but deleted them all. But tonight I read through the literature and I could tell that I would be approved...it's written as if I was already approved, but didn't come right out and say it!
This has been my dream card and tonight..I pushed the button after being in the Garden for 8 months and doing reconsideration letters and making calls etc..It has been 8 months after denials and I finally got it...American Express Gold Preferred Rewards....I pushed fhe button again (why not?..becuz of these boards) and got the Blue Cash -no annual fee..Approved! I need no other cards...I'm good.
I had Amex at 20 years old in the 80's and filed BK in '98 on the Green and Optima- I wasn't blacklisted afterall. There is hope for us all!

Gratz. With a 781 credit score I'm not suprised they are sending you gold envelopes.

Nicely done! Well it appears from an approval perspective, they finally let you in the AMEX pearly gates 
Do you have any reference information from your old AMEX accounts? It's possible that they can research this for you but just make sure to inquire about your MSD instead of "backdating".
Welcome back to the Amex Family! Once you get your cards and set up your online account you might see the MSD corrected. If not, give them a call and let them know your MSD is wrong and should be blah blah blah. Don't use the term backdating.
