Throughout the year, PRG has even better signup bonuses...I remember seeing like 50k sign up bonus offer in like September or October of last year. I can't wait until my Green ages off a bit and get an offer for the PRG.
Will you close Green 90 years before sign up for PRG to qualify for the Offer term? Or just use the old trick to log off and clear cache thing to get the sign up bonus?
AMEX sometimes send emails for upgrade offer, so first i'm hoping that they'll send something similar offer soon. I don't want to wait 90 years for them to send the offer so i'll just apply for the PRG in the beginning of next year (to maximize MSD).

Lol, I mean 90 days. Will AMEX offer the same sign up bonus like 25 or 50K to seduce existing Green to upgrade?? I thought you have to apply for the sign up, and close your existing charge cards 90 days before to meet the offer term.
The best PRG sign up bonus was three years or so ago. It was only supposed to be targeted to recent Columbia MBA grads, but the application link got out and they didn't check, nor did the application itself say it was a requirement. PRG was supposed to get 75k and Platinum would get 100k. However, there were a couple glitches and the PRG ended up getting 115k points. We got 10k on intial sign-up and were supposed to get another 65k after spend requirements. However, because the link went viral, Amex tried to change it to only 50k (+40k more). But we ended up getting credited with BOTH spending credits (10k + 65k + 40k).
It was awesome.

OP, you may also want to check www.cardmatch.com for any possible (targeted) 50k bonus offers for the PRG.....that's how I found mine (just around the beginning of last month/January).

Neither, please allow me to suggest a different route:
You should get an AMEX revolver which will grow very fast with soft CLIs.
Unless you're a big traveler, AMEX charge cards offers very little, specially for someone still building credit like yourself. Just breaking even on the annual fee for a charge card takes significant spending, while on a BCE/BCP for instance, you can get some decent cashback right of the bat. On top of that, they have sign up bonuses that it will at least pay for the card annual fee for 1 or 2 yrs.
Just my 2 cents from someone that started from scratch 3yrs ago.
@Anonymous wrote:If you're going for an AmEx charge, yes, definitely don't short-change yourself & try for the PRG. Not only does it have a great sign up bonus, but also better/faster ways to earn points (3x airline tickets, 2x gas & groceries) & AF waived for the first year. Also, if you're able to put $30k+ spend on the card over the calendar year, you can also earn an additional 15k bonus points. Really like my PRG so far but I'll still be evaluating over the next year before determining whether it's a keeper & worth the $175 AF when that time comes.
Good luck to you!
I just got mine a few days ago...what is the sign-up bonus?? I don't think I know about it.....

I found 50K target offer in the mail box for my house pal, he just threw it in the trash box without even openning it
...what a monster!!!
definitely go for the PRG. I was approved for a PRG with only 6 months of US credit history and two $500 limit cards (one secured). at 6 months got Amex PRG and Delta gold 2k limit. PRG was approved first and then i apped for the delta
there are some 50k delta gold targeted offers out there. i would go for the delta gold. it's the only non-plat card that is apparetly going to have no FX fee. I understand that it's usually the starter card with easiest approval. Although i read others going with BCE but maybe the delta has the best bonus?
My gf just got a 50k prg offer in the mail. They are sending them out again.
