I got my very first Amex in Jan 24 a BCP, the card shows member since Member since 24
I just got my very first BBC card this month and it says ...... member since 23
How does that one work?
That is odd! But as I have mentioned previously, the backdating was even stranger. It took the year of your first card and the current month,
so in my case the last card I got is Member Since 1/87 since I applied in Jan 2016, and the oldest of the three is 9/87 since I applied in Sep 2013 (something like that.
As it's a business card I guess they decided to exaggerate for you as part of marketing!
If your card doesn't reflect your correct MSD, by all means, get a corrected card. It doesn't matter that backdating on CRs went away right along with AMEX's Costco portfolio. It's a correction that AMEX makes on a regular basis.

Sure, if it matters to you, just be aware that it doesn't really backdate anymore. (Personally, given that, I don't see any reason to correct the card but, people are funny, i.e. different from me)
Someone stole my identity back in the late '90s when I was in college and, among other things, opened an American Express card in my name.
Last year I opened my first real American Express card and it says "Member since 99"
