Amex NPSL - How do you "know" if transaction will be ok'd?

Hi

I'm firmly in the garden (and looking for how to get a spade on my signature) - i would like to app for an amex gold charge in 12 months time, is there any way a knnowing if a transaction will be approved?

What i mean is - say you got your card, activated it - and went to Best Buy for your new $2000 tv - you have no way of knowing if the transaction will be approved or declined?

My mind is wandering - in anticipation lol

Before you go to the store Amex has an online feature that you can put in the amount and see will it be approved

Called the

Will my charges be approved button

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Yup and I think there's also a limit on how many times you can use that feature in a day.  I tried and it only works like 3 times a day and will reset in 24 hrs.

Really? I have not experienced that when checking. I've used it more than three times in a day and it will continue to "check" for me.
