Amex Offering 1.99% Purchase APR 9-month Promo - Maybe...?

Hey Y'all... 

So, I log into Amex to pay my balance and I see a notification offering a nice little promo of 1.99% Purchase APR for 9-months.  Okay -- I don't need it but I'll take it.   So, I click on the 'Learn More' link,  and the page is 'Currently Unvailable'....   so then I click the button to return to my main account screen - and the system logs me out.   So... I log back in - the offer is displayed once again - I grab a screen shot real quick -  I click on the 'Learn More' link - and the same thing happens again.    So... I log back in again - the offer is gone. 

I hop on chat - Dude tells me he sees no such promo for my account but says I can call the 'special promo team' (or something, idk what he called that dept.)  and he gave me a phone number.   I guess I'll call them later if the notification doesn't re-appear.   

Anyway... my point is Amex might be offering stuff so check your accounts!

They just offered Me 0% Plan It® on The Schwab Investor card for 3 months.

So on a $6000 purchase My payments are $2K per Month.

Have not checked My other cards yet.

I got the same offer but it was on the BCE only -- a 1k CL. Meh.

Yesterday, I saw the 1.99% for 6 month promo on my Aspire Card. I clicked on it but it said the same thing "Currently Unavailable."

Nice - that'll be useful.   I had the 0% Plan It offer throughout December and they offered it with the option of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months.... which was very nice - shame I didn't need it at the time.  One of these days Amex will offer me something I need, just when I need it...

Yea, kinda tough to carry a balance on $1K (been there while my card was stuck at a $500 CL for the 1st year).   At least they were thinking of you though... right?

But did your offer stay there or disappear like mine?

So weird... you think they offered it to us by mistake, Steve, and we're really not worthy so now they're just pretending it never happened? lol..  let me know if it pops back up for you..

Since late November I've had a no-fee Plan It offer on Marriott Brilliant and Delta Platinum. Nine more days to put stuff into no-fee Plans.

I put some appliances on Delta but the main charge might not post until they ship. So that could go either way.

I still have a few thousand dollars on my BCP from a previous promo. I did get it on ED several months ago when I had a $1k CL there after moving most to BBP. *So I know the feeling of a useless promo!

I have yet to discern any pattern in what makes them offer 3 vs. 24 months. The only revolver I've not gotten it on is BBP, and given that I spend a lot on it while earning 2x, they may not see any point in further incentivizing me to use it.

I just check my account and it is gone too. It was there all day yesterday. I don't need it, but always nice to receive an offer.

That's how I feel...  I don't need it but would've accepted it (and then probably never used it)... it's just always nice to get an offer...
