Amex PC Success

This morning I called Amex and requested to have my Delta SkyMiles Card to be changed to the Blue Cash Everyday. Ten seconds later, I now have a BCE!!!

I was wondering, if I could reapply for another Delta SkyMiles card. If so, how long should I wait? There is really one other Amex I would like to have and it seems like it would be easier to apply for a Delta SkyMiles Card and then request a PC. Has anyone done this before?

Re: Amex PC Success

Just one question, how long did you have the Delta Skymiles Amex before you requested a PC to the Amex BCE? I just got my Delta card and intend on doing just that.

I know that you didn't direct question to me, but I was considering doing a PC and change credit cards and keep same credit limit.  I was told by an AMEX customer rep that I need to have the account open for 13 months before I can do a PC.

Call the number on the back of the card and let them know that you understand you can't PC to another AF Card, but you want to PC to a non AF Card. I originally called the new accounts number and they told me I couldn't PC because they weren't in the same product family (I think she just wanted me to apply for a new card).

Six weeks! Great! I now have some hope I won't have to wait a year to do the PC. Thanks for the heads up and good luck with Amex.
