Did the PRG disappear from AMEXs site for anyone else?

Just like clothes and no one wants to wear same thing as everyone else so as in the credit card world people choose to like what they want with their credit cards , nothing wrong about spicing up the blandness of many credit cards by liking ones that are metal or different. Just my opinion but being on a credit card forum we should enjoy all aspects of credit, aesthetics, rewards, lack of, and other aspects of credit. If i wanted to read only about stocks bonds, and perfect profiles id read elsewhere
Stocks and bonds? Did I miss something? That's normally one of my favorite topics.
Exactly. Metal is no reason to intice, but it's a nice "extra".

Honestly, I'd keep the card metal or not. It just became an extremely useful card. But if it can be metal then why not?!

I’ll take rewards over metal. I still have my plastic plats until 2020. I’ll stick w/ plastic ones they are easier to put in and take out of the wallet.
+1. I still don't get how people serious enough about credit cards to be on a forum can consider metal (or appearance in general) to be a factor with any significant weight, but I guess that's my defect!
The only thing we all have in common is that we want the benefits that cards provide. Metal cards can give off an aura of superiority and some people might find that benefit particularly appealing.
LOL. The Platinum has terrible return for anything other than flight purchases. As you don't hand someone your Platinum card to purchase an airline ticket I am not sure when you would get that feeling of superiority. But if you think getting less benefit for using a card gives you superiority... I think I used my Platinum card once for an instance where I handed someone the card.
You're preaching to the choir. But the fact remains, many people still consider black and metal cards as a status symbol.
One day all the cards will be metal and then someone will come out with a plastic card as a status symbol.
I need to run the numbers on how much i spend on restaurants a year to see if the 4x is worth getting this card for. I am already getting 4.5x from EDP for groceries so its not that big of a deal to me. If 4x @restaurants looks like it may be worth it for me will downgrade edp to ed and pick this new prg up if I can find a 50k offer for the prg that is.

We can't have everything in a card. I think it's healthy for the community when members discuss what we don't like or don't care about in a card. It spreads information and may help other people decide what to prioritize, or how to specialize their wallet.
When I talk about stocks and bonds I like to get paid for my thoughts.
And there's the Personal Finance forum.
