And to think that I could have had an Amex 10 years before I was born! Oh, the pain of it all!

I don't have the PRG lol
OH hahah - your cards are all listed in your sig? That would be wierd.
Yeah, those are the cards that I have.
It is. I just get the error, when logged in, "page not found."
I have apply button but no sign up bonus :-(
Mine just doesn't show up hahah.

That's correct. Prior to 2011, AU's would get the MSD of the original cardholder.
And yes, I am 21.
so your dad had you and amex in the same year. I wonder which one he was more happy about.
j/k
You don't have to have prg. but if you already have a charge card. it will take that option away. in fact. used to get the offer to upgrade from green to prg. but that is also gone. it just says to add additional user. as you said. i beleive. you must have your charge card for 13 months before you can pc. if not. you can cancel it altogether and the prg offer will show up. its not being discontinued as you suggest. its that you are already amex member. thats why it shows up when you clear cache or cookies.

I was wrong. its showing up. even i have the green. it just gives me option to APPLY OUTRIGHT again. since im member. it already has my info . no way do i apply for a 3rd amex. like i see many here have. but it is still there. my bad. no more upgrade offer for sure.

Confidence eh.
I don't even know how I got the backdate of 2004. My mom got her amex in 99, and I became an AU in 2010 I think it was. I'm only 19, but when I applied for my (2) amex's and asked for them to backdate they did 2004
Ohh well I'm happy for the 10 year bump.

I closed my Green recently and can apply for the PRG just fine.
And I'm so jealous of everyone in here who was able to backdate their cards that far just by being an AU on someone who already has an Amex card.
