On my Amex Hilton card, I am able to make a payment even if I do not have a posted balanace. My wife's Amex Hilton, she can only make a payment if there is a posted balance. We opened the accounts the same day. Can anyone explain this?

Still not allowing it. When I click on payment screen, it says no payment required but she has a balance now of 82.69
anyone?
Is it a new account? And, if so, has she already made payments this billing cycle?
It is a new account. Here is the thing though. Her and I opened our amex the same day. I am able to make payments if I have a balance posted or not and I have made numerous since we opened the accounts on 6-3-16. We have the same card. Hilton Honors. I just don't get it.

But, has SHE made multiple payments this billing cycle? If so, that's why she's being blocked. Amex does this on some - but not all - new accounts for the first 30 days or so.
No. She has only made one. It is weird. She has way better credit than I do as well. I barley got into Amex.
