Amex Pending Charges... How Long?

Yeah, my first thought was also that there was something wrong with my account - I had just activated the card last week, and now none of the charges are going through... So good to know it's not just a random issue, but a known error. I just wish they'd explain that to their phone CSRs, and preferably the Authorizations people as well (asking for too much, I know). I think I'll give them a tweet about that too.

I called Amex because I made a payment a couple of days back and it still hasn't posted, so in my nature I got a little worried and I called. The rep told me that the system at amex are getting an update so this may be the culprit for my payment posting issues and the pending charges issue.

By the way my charges finally posted. I made a payment... and that was 2 days ago and that still hasn't posted either.

Hopefully this upgrade or whatever it is will be over soon. This is getting to be a little bit annoying - I'm used to my funds posting much more quickly.

Yeah, I made an 800.00 PIF payment on Tuesday and as of today, it still hasn't posted to my account but the money was taken from my checking account the very next day.. Also, only 2 of the 15 pending transactions have dropped to posted and today marks a full week when they first appeared in pending... Crazy.. Oh we'll..

I PIF yesterday $765.03, my statement was supposed to cut yesterday but did not. I still have pending charges from last week too.
