Amex Recon Question

Does anyone know what is the minimum score required for the Amex Zync?  I've applied for this card twice, and was denied both times; the first time was score was too low and some collection accounts were reporting.  The second time (in between the first and the second time, no collection accounts are reporting), they tell me that my score is too low.

I don't want a super high limit; I'd be o.k. with a $1,000 or less limit...I just want the enjoy the satisfaction of having an Amex card in my wallet, but it looks like Amex doesn't want me to have that satisfaction...  Smiley Sad

Re: Amex Recon Question

Just so you know, the Zync is a CHARGE card with the full balance due monthly. There is no preset spending limit on these cards ( unless they will only  qualify you for a 500 dollar "hard limit" which they MAY loosen as your relationship with them grows. They do have a couple of revolving cards that let you pay over time, but the mainstay are their CHARGE cards. In my experience their revolving credit cards can be pretty darn tough to get and their charge cards a little more lax.

Re: Amex Recon Question

From what I've read here at the Forums, the Zync is one of the easiest AmEx's to get, sometimes when apping for an AmEx Charge Card, AmEx has been known to pull one, two or all three CRA's, but normally when apping for one of their Revolvers they only pull EX. Do you happen to know your FICOS? And you say all your reports are clean now?
