Amex Recon?

My credit score is not that great but dang will i ever be able to get one? That is the one card that i would love to have in my wallet any tips on getting an approval...I have 2 items on my EX report one of which im in the process of getting removed...

What's your cr profile look like? Current cc's? Inq's? Baddies? Amex is not difficult to obtain but we need a little bit more info

i have a total of about 10 cards util about 24% two baddies on my EX one paid nys tax lien and the other FPB card that charged off and paid in NYS i can have it removed in June its from 2008...

No late payments...But the reason theyve given me is Legal items...I had a card with them back in 2004 that i was delinquent on but through wage garnishments it was paid in about 2006 so maybe im blacklisted or something idk...

Wait until your two baddies are off your report. Amex is forgiving but the higher util is not helping you now. After the baddies are off and your util is down you should be fine. How many inq's and new accounts this year?

I would imagine the "legal items" reason they gave you, would be the NYS tax lien IMO

Yea sounds like you may be on their naughty list
