hi everyone. looking for help or explanation. yesterday i applied for the amex blue sky. i tried doing it online but i got the message saying they couldn't process my request in 60 seconds and gave me a phone number. called the phone number and rep said that she couldn't see any info for me in their system. so i went through the app process over the phone. unfortunately, i got denied. got the email with the link to their status page. called for a recon this morning and went back to the app status page. while i was talking to executive services, i told the person that i am now seeing two line items on the status page. one was when they declined me yestereday and the next line with the same date received of 05/18/11 and the status saying "in progress". exec services called new accounts to check what was going on. new accts. rep said that he's only seeing one status or file which is the one that got denied. they couldn't give me any answers as to why another app status saying in progress. any ideas? oh and i was told by exec services to just try again in a few months instead of doing a recon.
That is weird on the Amex check application status page, but I've seen that too.
I applied for a PR Gold carton on January 18th, and that shows up, along with a duplicate dated January 19th that says approved. The application on the 18th was done very late at night and the hard pull showed up on EX on the 19th. They both now say approved, but at the time there might have been a lag. I did not get an instant decision but had one withint 24 hours of the initial (and only) app as I recall.
Mine still says in process since last Friday. What's the exec office number? Who have you all been recon-ing to? Whenever I call for an update, I get put on hold so the CSR can go ask "them" except it is "them" I want to talk to!
